The thing that made me happy today was a PERFECT beach day!  The sky was blue, the breeze was nice and there was no humidity.  Hopefully it will be the start to a perfect week!

The thing that made me happy today was going to the nail salon and finding a whole section of new colors!  I tend to use the same "family" of colors, but once in a while, I like to try something a little different.  I love the new color I got today!

The thing that made me happy today was spending some 1-on-1 time with my son.  We had a little date at the movies.  It was nice that we got to spend a few hours together.

The thing that made me happy today was the kindness and smile of a stranger.  I was ordering breakfast at the deli this morning and I had asked for a packet of Motrin and said "it's going to be one of those days".  The young doorman from the hotel across the street was behind me and asked if I was off on the weekend.  I told him I was and he smiled at me and said "well, it's only 1 more day - you're almost there!"   The way that he said it just made it all seem ok.  (He could have easily had an attitude since I am sure that HE is working on the weekend)  As I left I turned to him and said "have a great day!"  and he said "you too!" with that awesome smile.

The thing that made me happy today was hearing that my friend's mom had successful surgery.  News like that makes all the time in the waiting room worthwhile!

The thing that made me happy today was spending a few really fun hours with some friends.  When we first entered the bar, we were the youngest people in there - as the hours passed, we suddenly became the oldest!  Of course it was also nice that we were only charged for 5 drinks (there were 4 of us!) when we clearly had way more than that!

The thing that made me happy today was knowing that my husband still knows what to say to make me laugh at just the right time.  It isn't always the funniest joke that makes one laugh the hardest!

The thing that made me happy today was going into the bathroom and finding that someone else changed the toilet paper!  We have 2 bathrooms in my house and no matter which one I go into, I find myself looking at an almost empty roll that needs to be changed every time I go in there!

That thing that made me happy today was watching a family fulfill their dream of moving to Israel.  What an amazing video to watch as an entire plane of people arrived in Israel from JFK this morning to begin their lives anew!  Mazel tov to the Weinsteins and all the other families!

The thing that made me happy today was seeing all of the people who are working on 2 of my neighbors' houses leave early. 

The multitude of trucks that have been on my block for weeks are making driving very dangerous as they are parking on a blind curve.  And now I am hopeful that the rest of the weekend will be quiet and safe.
